In-service master's program (HRM and Asia-Pacific HRM)

In these two programs, we hope to develop our in-service master's program students to be (1) HRM professionals with excellent expertise, and (2) HRM executives with strategic thinking and international mobility. Thus, in-service master's   program (HRM), we provide students with professional trainings in HRM functions (e.g., HR analytics, training, recruiting and selection, performance management, compensation and benefits, and so on). In-service master's program (Asia-Pacific HRM), we provide students with macro management courses such as strategy management, innovation management, management of international business, cross-cultural management and international HRM. It should be noted that in-service master's students across these two programs are able to take the courses from another program.

In-service master's program students who participated in these programs are required to take at least 43 credits and pass English and language proficiency before graduation, which may take 2 to 2.5 years to complete. Students need to achieve TOEIC 500 in English. If students failed to pass the language proficiency tests, they have to take 6-credits course delivered by English or equivalent language learning certificate (108 hours). Finally, in addition to the professional courses in HRM, students must take two core courses related to business administration before graduation, such as Marketing, Information Management, Financial Management, and Operations Management.

The programs also offer plenty opportunities for students to visit the companies with outstanding HRM practices and interact with top HR executives in these firms. We also regularly invite our alumni who are currently the HR head/executives of famous companies to give talks or share their valuable experiences during the courses.

We strive to strike a balance between theoretical and practical oriented learning. In addition to teaching important theories and tools in HRM, we also offer students with business visiting and case study teaching, and ask students to form project teams to help the companies analyze the potential problems in the HRM functions (e.g., training, recruiting and selection, performance management, compensation and benefits, and so on) and propose useful solutions to address the problems. These provide students with great opportunities to get involved with real world business problems solving and decision making.
